Ground Game Strategies is led by Tara Gibson, a veteran of Virginia politics with nearly 20 years of experience in campaigns, advocacy, and government relations. She began her career in grassroots organizing and went on to become a lead strategist for progressive candidates and causes across the Commonwealth.
Tara’s work is rooted in strong political relationships, a deep understanding of Virginia’s legislative and electoral landscape, and a no-nonsense commitment to showing up—for the work, and for the people doing it.
With roots in both Southwest Virginia and Lancaster, Pennsylvania—two storied Commonwealths—Tara brings a blend of down-to-earth authenticity and strategic expertise. Now a long-time Richmond resident, she calls Church Hill home, where she lives with her two dogs, Lola and Winnie.
